Throughout winter we’re forging ahead with our dig days on the new grade 4 trail that will eventually connect North Face with Starfish.

We’ve made some great progress and it’s already shaping up as a classic bit of Makara Peak single track. Similar in style to Starfish, with lots of features to keep you interested.

To get to the dig site by bike, ride to the end of North Face or Three Brothers and head in the start of the new track which is about 20m down the 4WD track. To get there by foot, come up the 4WD track from Allington Road.

All help is much appreciated. We’re doing a BBQ and refreshments at the end of each dig, so make sure you stick around for a beer, soft drink and sausage.
