Transpower have confirmed dates when parts of the park will be closed while they upgrade the power lines.

Track work on Upper Leaping Lizard at Makara Peak Mountain Bike Park
The re-build of Ridgeline Extension trail at Makara Peak Mountain Bike Park continues with volunteers from Westpac doing a days work.
Ricky has been tweaking, rock breaking and armouring the top (older) section of Ridgeline Extension as well as improving the run in to the first jump.
This is one of just four rimu that existed in Makara Peak at the time it became a MTB park. It's about 10-12m tall, and lives 10m above Sally Alley, about 80% of the way along the track.
